Frequently asked questions

Two minutes of your time. A permanent record of theirs.

What is Owling?
Owling is a free, public platform where consumers file structured grievances against named companies. Your grievance is visible, searchable, and permanent. Companies cannot delete or suppress what you wrote.
Is Owling free?
Yes. Owling is completely free for consumers. No paywalls, no premium tiers, no upsells. File as many grievances as you need.
How do I file a grievance?
Click "File a grievance" on any page. Choose a company, select a category, describe what happened, and submit. It takes about two minutes.
Can companies delete or hide grievances?
No. Companies cannot delete, edit, or suppress grievances. They can claim their profile and post an official reply, but the original grievance stays public.
What does it mean when a company profile is "claimed"?
A claimed profile means the company has verified their identity via email and can publish official replies to grievances. Claiming does not give them any moderation power.
Do companies actually respond?
Companies respond to public complaints roughly 4x faster than private tickets. Public pressure works. Owling makes that pressure visible.
What information do I need to file a grievance?
You need to select the company, choose a category (billing, customer service, product quality, etc.), describe what happened, and optionally the date of the incident. You can also attach evidence like screenshots or receipts.
Can I file a grievance anonymously?
Your name is not shown publicly on the grievance. Only the details you choose to include are visible to others.
What categories of grievances can I file?
Owling supports categories including Billing, Product Quality, Customer Service, Delivery, and Privacy. Each category has its own page so you can browse similar complaints.
How do category pages work?
Category pages group all grievances of a specific type — for example, all billing complaints across all companies. These pages help you find similar issues and signal trends.
